Two Feathers Hair and Beauty is an independently run business offering hair and beauty treatments to clients. Natalie respects your privacy rights before, during and after your appointment, ensuring you are always in safe hands.

What type of data will Natalie collect and process from you?

Natalie will collect and process client data, technical data and photographs.

What is client data?

Name, email, phone/mobile number, address, date of birth, GP surgery & phone number

Prescribed medication/allergy/health info

What is technical data?

Natalie will keep data on your visits, for example colour records or particular products used in treatments, as well as cost of service.


Natalie may ask you for verbal or written permission to use photographs of you for use in social media, advertising and website.


How does Natalie get it and why does she have it?

Natalie will never source your information from any third party. Your data will be collected from you directly. Natalie will hold this data to be able to contact you regarding appointments or for marketing (where consent is given), allowing her to run her business effectively.


What will Natalie do with my data?

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) the lawful basis on which Natalie relies on processing your information are as follows:

Contractual obligation: When you choose to contact or buy from Natalie, she will process your data to carry out this service.

Legitimate interest: You may be contacted when Natalie either believes a new treatment or a special offer may be of interest to you.

Consent: You will be asked for consent to joining Natalie's mailing list or to take photographs of you for use in advertising, printed leaflets/treatment list, social media and on Natalie's website.

Legal obligation: Natalie holds a legal obligation to ask health questions and to carry out skin allergy tests to ensure your safety before, during and after a treatment.


Will Natalie sell out my data?

No, Natalie will never share or sell your data with any third party.


How will the data be stored and for how long?

Your data may be held online within a secure booking app, password secured. Any data on Natalie's phone or laptop is kept safe with a bio metric secured password. Nobody else has access to these. Paper forms and treatment record cards will be stored in a locked filing cabinet for which only Natalie holds a key.

If you have not visited Natalie for a period of one year or longer, your name and contact details will be deleted from Natalie's mobile phone and laptop. Your treatment record card will be stored securely for 7 years from the date of your last treatment inline with Natalie's insurance policy.


What right do I have?

Right to access: You have a right to access a copy of your personal data at any time, this will only be given to you in person. This is to ensure your data is not passed on to anyone other than you.

Right to rectification: You have the right to ask Natalie to rectify any information held on you to be incorrect or incomplete.

Right to erasure: You have the right for your data to be erased from data bases, however your treatment record cards must still be kept securely for 7 years for insurance purposes.

Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to restrict the processing of your information in some cases; for example, requesting you are only contacted regarding appointments.

Right to object to processing: You have the right to object to the processing of your information in same cases; for example, not giving your consent to join Natalie's mailing list.

Right to data portability: You have a right to request I transfer a copy of your information to another organisation.
